Our consultants and facilitators are experts in their respective fields and continuously stay on the forefront of innovation and development. DCT constantly strive to seek and develop talent of previously disadvantaged groups. We realise that the quality and success of staffing, and related staff development, are fundamental to the quality and success of the company as a whole. Therefore DCT will implement procedures that will enhance this. Currently 65% of permanent employees at DCT Consulting are from HDI (Historically Disadvantaged Individual) groups, and 70% of contracted consultants are from HDI groups. DCT Consulting is a registered Service Provider and our programmes are outcomes based and aligned with the NQF. The Services SETA has awarded DCT Institutional Accreditation as a Service Provider through Decision Number 0263. Companies can therefore claim back on their levies for training provided by DCT Education Holdings (Pty) Ltd. We are committed to the new direction of training and development stipulated in the SAQA legislation and other related legislation. Our consultants and facilitators are all registered in accordance with the required ETD practitioner's requirements with various SETA's and are familiar with the concept of outcomes-based training and consulting. DCT offers a variety of consultation services, in-house training programmes, public programmes, events and motivational seminars. DCT offers a range of highly specialised consultation services which includes organisational audits, strategy & policy development, compliance with labour legislation, HIV/Aids related consultation, and many more. DCT has more than 80 pre-designed in-house training programmes that cover a wide range of themes from ABET training to Management Development interventions. DCT hosts a number of national as well as international events. In 1999 DCT International initiated the Diversity Indaba, a forum where diversity issues can be addressed on an annual base. Some of the presenters at the inaugural Diversity Indaba were Lovemore Mbigi, Joyce Mashamba, Max du Preez and Dr. Maki Mandela. In 2004 DCT was privileged to have Minister Mosiuoa Lekota as keynote speaker at the event hosted at Vodaworld in Midrand. In 2000 DCT International created the Robben Island Diversity Experience (RIDE), currently regarded as one of the most powerful diversity events in the world. The impact of this event can only be grasped by listening to the feedback from people who attend the event. RIDE plays an important role in helping South Africans understand diversity and the underlying forces that shape how we act and interact towards similarities and difference. In the field of Adventure training DCT has hosted the Adventure Based Experiential Learning Conference (2000), The Power of Adventure Conference (2001), and a number of Specialised Train the Trainer workshops presented by International Gurus from Belgium, Brazil, the United Kingdom, New Zealand and the United States of America. In 2002 DCT Initiated the Batho Pele Indaba. This conference explored various aspects of service delivery and service excellence in the South African Public Sector.
