About
the programme:
This
qualification is for any individual who is, or wishes to be, involved
in the Administration fuction in an organisation. The core component
contains competencies in Information Handling, Communications, Enterprise/customer
service, Technology, Organisation skills, Self-development, Teamwork
and Business policies and procedures.
The workshop
objective:
On
completion of this programme participants will be able to perform general
administrative skills in the workplace by being competent in the above
mentioned unit standards.
Specific
outcomes of the workshop content:
Participants
will achieve the workshop outcome by being able to:
- Gather
and report information
- Plan,
monitor and control an information system
- Participate
in meetings and process documents and communications related thereto
- Plan and
conduct basic research in an office environment
- Co-ordinate
meetings, minor events and travel arrangements
- Set personal
goals
- Function
in a team and overall business environment
- Demonstrate
an understanding of employment relations
Training
methodology:
The
methodology is based on interactive learning, i.e. learners will learn
by doing. Furthermore learners will use examples from their own organisations,
thus ensuring that the learning is anchored at their workplace.
Theory
will be firmly based in the practical application of concepts in reality.
Theory will be supported by case studies of actual projects that learners
are working on.
As
with all DCT training programmes, we strive to effect actual change back
at the workplace through effective and practical outcomes based training.
