Training methodology:
Our
methodology is based on experiential learning. This implies a practical
approach where participants actively experience their learning through
exercises, case studies, role-plays, etc.
During this programme the learners will be lectured on the content of
HIV / Aids for + three hours wherein they will use open discussions with
a medical expert to understand the context of the virus. The rest of the
programme will be spent on teaching the group one on one counselling skills
and enabling them to facilitate HIV / Aids awareness sessions. Once this
process is completed the group will receive a practical assignment for
which they will have + two weeks to prepare. The assignment will be in
the form of a case study. The last phase of this work session will be
where the group is assessed in the class.
As with all DCT training programmes, we strive to effect actual change
back at the workplace through effective and practical outcomes based training.
