the programme:
The
programme is aimed at giving participants basic knowledge and skills
on decision making.
The main area of focus will be on the Rational Decision Making Process.
This will include:

of the situation

of alternatives

Evaluation
& choosing of best alternative

of accountability
Other important
areas covered will be:
- Types
of decisions
- Certainty,
risk and uncertainty
- Limitations
to the rational decision-making process
- Characteristics
of effective decision-making

& decision-making
The
workshop outcome:
On
completion of the workshop participants should have basic knowledge and
skills on the decision-making function that will enable them to enhance
organisational outcomes by contributing to the managerial role.
Specific
outcomes of the workshop content:
Participants
will achieve the workshop outcome by beng able to:
- Effectively
implement the rational decision-making process.
- Understand
the elements of a decision-making process.
- Have a
good knowledge base on the decision-making function.
Training methodology:
The
methodology is based on interactive learning, i.e. learners will learn
by doing. Furthermore learners will use examples from their own environments,
thus ensuring that the learning is anchored at their workplace.
As with all DCT training programmes, we strive to effect actual change
back at the workplace through effective and practical outcomes based training.
