About
the workshop:
The
programme aims to sharpen the Managers Facilitation Skills. Participation
will not deal with any management related theory, but focus on the facilitation
of management processes, e.g. project meetings, problem solving, decision-making,
and planning sessions. During the programme attendees will facilitate
a 30-min projects meeting session and be evaluated by fellow attendees
and the programme facilitator.

Programme
Assessment :
Participants
will be assessed on the following specific outcomes:
- Discuss
the meaning of the concept of facilitation
- Identify
and explain the key concepts in facilitation
- Identify
and discuss the key behaviours of an effective facilitator
- Facilitate
a project meeting
Training methodology:
Teaching
by example and experiential learning probably describes the training methodology
most accurately. Participants will be actively involved in the learning
and the facilitators will apply the group facilitation techniques taught
to transfer learning.
A pre- and
post workshop assignment will form part of the programme, and will be
used for assessment purposes.
As with all
DCT training programmes, we strive to effect actual change back at the
workplace through effective and practical outcomes based training.
