About
the programme:
This
workshop is aimed at OD consultants, trainers, group facilitators, managers,
or ETD practitioners who have a need to understand group functioning
at its deepest level.
The workshop will cover the following areas:

Group
dynamics form a Psychodynamic stance
-
Group
dynamics from a socio-cognitive stance
-
Group
dynamics from a humanistic stance
-
A
holistic approach to group dynamics
The workshop
outcome:
On
completion of the programme the participant should have a understanding
of the concept ‘group-dynamics’ and be able to implement this
knowledge when working wit groups.
Specific
outcomes of the workshop content:
Participants
will achieve the workshop outcome by being able to:
- Understand
the theoretical background on group psycho-dynamics.
- Understand
the underlying processes that take place within groups.
- Identify
dynamics within groups as it happens in the ‘here and now’.
- Design
effective group-interventions based on their understanding of specific
dynamics taking place within a group.
Training methodology:
Teaching
by example and experiential learning probably describes the training methodology
most accurately. Participants will be actively involved in the learning
and the facilitators will use the group consultation techniques to transfer
learning.
As with all DCT training programmes, we strive to effect actual change
back at the workplace through effective and practical outcomes based training.
