About the programme:

NLP stands for Neuro Linguistic Programming and can be defined as ‘Programming the language of the brain’. It has a wide range of application and have been used successfully in the fields of psychology, training, individual development and management. Some well-known gurus in the field of NLP are Anthony Robbins and Mike Lipkin.
This programme is aimed at giving participants a basic introduction to NLP and its application in the field of training. Once this programme is completed interested parties will be able to complete a full NLP Practitioners Certification Programme.

The workshop outcome:

On completion of this workshop the participant will understand the concept and application of NLP and be able to apply basic NLP techniques within the training environment.

Specific outcomes of the workshop content:

The trainee will achieve the workshop outcome by being able to:

  1. Have a basic understanding of the NLP concept
  2. Demonstrate at least three NLP techniques in the field of training
  3. Know how to utilise the concept of ‘state management’ to get learners exited about training
  4. Know how to use the ‘meta model’ to get learners to examine their own frame of reference
  5. Use NLP to assist a learner in dealing with the stumbling blocks between his/her current reality and the desired state of learning
  6. Know how to deal with a difficult group of learners through utilising NLP techniques
  7. Establishing report with learners
  8. Use NLP as technology to anchor learning

Included:

  • All programme materials and hand-outs
  • Marking of assignments
  • Issuing of certificate with credits on completion of the programme
  • Record keeping of all results and assessments in order for participants to receive credits towards registered qualifications.

Training methodology:

The methodology is based on interactive learning, i.e. learners will learn by doing. Furthermore learners will use examples from their own environments, thus ensuring that the learning is anchored within their frame of reference.
As with all DCT training programmes, we strive to effect actual change back at the workplace through effective and practical outcomes based training.
