About
the programme:
The
programme is aimed at giving operational managers the necessary knowledge
and skills in the following areas:
The workshop
outcome:
Providing
participants with managerial knowledge and skills that will enable them
to be effective in their role as operational managers.
Specific
outcomes of the workshop content:
On
completion of this programme the participant should be able to:

Implement
operational management principles within their daily tasks.

Implement
project management principles in the area of operational management.

Obtain
organisational outcomes through effective coaching, performance management,
goal setting and motivating for action.

Avoid
loss of productivity by dealing effectively with problems as they
arise.

Dealing
with dispute resolution and trade union interventions within South
African context.
Training methodology:
The
methodology is based on interactive learning, i.e. learners will learn
by doing. Furthermore learners will use examples from their own environments,
thus ensuring that the learning is anchored at their workplace. Most of
the interactive learning will take the form of case studies where the
learner will do practical application of the theory taught.
As with all DCT training programmes, we strive to effect actual change
back at the workplace through effective and practical outcomes based training.
