About the programme:

The programme sets out to introduce the participant to a set of instruments that is designed to navigate the process of organisational goal achievement through effective performance management.

The workshop objective:

On completion of this programme the participant must be able to implement a basic performance management process.

Specific outcomes of the workshop content:

Participants will achieve the workshop outcomes by being able to:

  • Establish performance standards and monitoring systems
  • Prepare for performance review of team member
  • Conduct performance review interview
  • Set goals and objectives
  • Establish performance standards
  • Set up monitoring systems
  • Monitor and measure the achievement of objectives

Training methodology:

The methodology is based on interactive learning, i.e. learners will learn by doing. Furthermore learners will use examples from their own environments, thus ensuring that the learning is anchored at their workplace. Theory will be firmly based on the practical application of concepts in reality.

Role-plays and case studies will help learners to practice skills related to the unit standard. Practical implementation of skills will be a focus point.
