About the workshop:

The workshop is aimed at any person who has to create opportunities for innovation and lead projects to meet innovative ideas. Areas covered by this programme are as follows:

  • Understanding the difference between innovation and creativity
  • Using both concepts of creativity and logic to derive at powerful innovations
  • Managing the innovative process
  • Monitoring the effectiveness of innovations

The workshop objective:

On completion of the programme participants should be able to effectively contribute towards innovative processes within the organisation by being competent in the following unit standard:

Programme Assessment :

Participants will be assessed on the following specific outcomes:

  1. Keeping abreast of and analyse innovations or new developments
  2. Creating opportunities for innovation
  3. Leading projects to meet new, innovative ideas
  4. Reviewing new projects/procedures to determine effectiveness

Included:

  • All programme materials and hand-outs
  • Certificate on completion of the programme
  • Record keeping of all results and assessments in order for participants to receive recognition for prior learning through the National Qualifications Framework.

Training methodology:

The methodology is based on interactive learning, i.e. learners will learn by doing. Furthermore learners will use examples from their own organisations, thus ensuring that the learning is anchored at their workplace.
As with all DCT training programmes, we strive to effect actual change back at the workplace through effective and practical outcomes based training.
