About
the programme:
The
TQM programme is designed to give participants the necessary knowledge
and skills needed to implement total quality practices. Learning opportunities
will be provided to understand total quality concepts and techniques
for managing, controlling and improving quality.

The workshop
outcome:
On
completion of the programme participants should be able to implement the
TQM concept and techniques for managing, controlling and improving quality
within their organisations.
Specific
outcomes of the workshop content:
Participants
should achieve the workshop outcome by being able to:
- Understand
the TQM concept and techniques for managing, controlling and improving
quality at the workplace.
- Have a
strategy to implement total quality practices at the workplace and effect
savings on the input cost of an organisation.
- Develop
a basic TQM system including tools and techniques for the continuous
improvement of quality.
- Know what
cultural transformation is necessary for successful implementation of
total quality practices within his/her organisation.
- Have a
strategy to create and maintain a quality culture that will move the
organisation towards world-class status. This strategy must fall within
the participant’s circle of influence.
- Understand
the impact of quality on profitability.
- Use total
quality tools for data collection and analysis.
- Know how
to implement a business strategy driven by TQM.
Training methodology:
The
methodology is based on interactive learning, i.e. learners will learn
by doing. Furthermore learners will use examples from their own organisations,
thus ensuring that the learning is anchored at their workplace. As with
all DCT training programmes, we strive to effect actual change back at
the workplace through effective and practical outcomes based training.
