About
the programme:
The
programme is aimed at giving supervisors the necessary knowledge and
skills in the following areas:
- The art
of coaching.
- Performance
management and goal setting.
- Giving
and receiving effective feedback.
- ‘Here
and Now’ problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Moving
and motivating your team towards action.
- Dealing
with dispute resolution and trade union interventions.
The workshop
outcome:
Providing
supervisors with the skills and knowledge to manage their teams and organisational
outcomes effectively within their workplace.
Specific
outcomes of the workshop content:
After
completion of this programme the participant should be able to:

Obtaining
organisational outcomes through effective coaching, performance management,
goal setting and motivating for action.

Avoid
loss of productivity by dealing effectively with problems as they
arise.

Dealing
with dispute resolution and trade union interventions within South
African context.

of certificate after completion of programme

keeping of all results and assessments in order for participants to
receive recognition for prior learning through the National Qualifications
Framework.
Training methodology:
The
methodology is a combination of teaching and experiential learning. The
methodology is based on interactive learning, i.e. learners will learn
by doing. Furthermore learners will use examples from their own organisations,
thus ensuring that the learning is anchored at their workplace.
As with all DCT training programmes, we strive to effect actual change
back at the workplace through effective and practical outcomes based training.
