About
the programme:
Managing
Teams is a dynamic programme aimed at giving those who have to manage
teams the necessary knowledge and skills to optimise team results. The
main focus of this programme is on getting results from group processes
and effectively dealing with interpersonal dynamics within groups. It
is recommended that any person who manages groups or at stages has to
play a managerial role within groups attend this programme.

The workshop

they manage.
Specific outcomes
of the workshop content:
Participants
will achieve the workshop outcome by being able to:
1. Understand
basic concepts of group dynamics
2. Use the organisational strategic intent and team roles to align the
team for optimal results
3. Minimise dysfunctional dynamics that hamper team processes
4. Effectively manage team processes such as planning, decision making
and problem solving
Training methodology:
The methodology
is based on interactive learning, i.e. learners will learn by doing. Furthermore
learners will use examples from their own organisations, thus ensuring
that the learning is anchored at their workplace.
As with all DCT training programmes, we strive to effect actual change
back at the workplace through effective and practical outcomes based training.
